The Joby GPM-A1ENGorillapod Magentic Flexible Tripod is not exactly a product which truly “fills a need”, but it sure is fun. Indeed, it can probably open a few vistas up which may or may not be new to a camera-owner. Just the same, the fl;exible nature of both its design and utility can be extremely helpful. This is actually a tabletop tripod (only 15″, 3cm tall) but it has strong magnetic feet which allow it to attach to metals/magnetic surfaces such as door hinges and metal poles. The feet support incredibly flexible legs made up of more than two dozen leg joints that can bend and rotate a full 360°. Interestingly enough, they can also wrap around a wild variety of supports so that one can support his camera in a wide variety of situations. This is a truly interesting little device which can change the way a picture-taker or filmer could arrange his settings.
